Analysis reports are long-form articles that give contributors the opportunity to develop the context of their research, approach and methodology. They can provide an in-depth analysis of the qualitative and quantitative data they collected on one specific aspect of European action in the MENA region. Contributors should also outline specific policy proposals, which arise from the results of their research.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was created in 1978 with the goal of stabilizing South Lebanon, but it repeatedly failed to deliver its mission. Over the years, the mandate of UNIFIL has evolved to become more robust, also the number of European soldiers serving in the mission has increased considerably. But the lack of training and communication within the mission continues to raise questions as to its effectiveness.
